Your Brazoria County septic installer
Across Brazoria County's rural land, most homes run on their own on-site septic system instead of city sewer. We design, permit, and install new septic systems for new construction, manufactured, and mobile homes throughout the county — including Rosharon, Damon, Danbury, Liverpool, Sweeny, West Columbia — handling the soil and percolation testing and the county OSSF permitting from start to finish.
We install new septic systems across Brazoria County — Rosharon and Damon, the acreage outside Alvin and Angleton, and the farm country around Danbury, Liverpool, Sweeny, and West Columbia. South of Houston the subdivisions give way fast to pasture and river bottom along the Brazos and San Bernard, and out there homes run on their own on-site systems. Whether it's a new house on family land, a manufactured home, or a rebuild after a storm, we size the system, pull the permit, and install it to pass inspection.
What we install in Brazoria County
Site Evaluation & Perc Testing
We evaluate your soil and run the percolation test that determines how well your ground absorbs water — the foundation of a system that works.
System Design & Sizing
We size the tank and drainfield to your home's bedroom count and your soil's absorption rate, then engineer a layout that fits your lot.
Permitting & County Approval
We prepare and submit your on-site sewage facility (OSF) permit application and coordinate approvals with your county health department.
Excavation & Site Prep
We prepare the site and excavate for the tank and drainfield with the right grade and setbacks — protecting your wells, structures, and property lines.
Tank Installation
We set the septic tank, connect the inlet and outlet plumbing at the correct grade, and install the effluent filter and risers for easy future access.
Drainfield Installation
We install the drainfield (leach field) that disperses treated effluent safely into the soil, sized to your percolation results and available area.
We handle Brazoria County permitting
On-site sewage facilities (OSSF) are permitted at the county level. We prepare the application, submit the soil and design documentation, and see it through approval and final inspection — so your Brazoria County system is fully permitted and passes the county inspection.
In unincorporated Brazoria County, septic permits run through the Brazoria County Environmental Health Department at 111 E. Locust in Angleton. The county's septic order covers everything outside city limits; Manvel, Brookside Village, and Surfside Beach run their own septic programs, and inside any other city the county program doesn't apply, so we check with the city first. The septic permit comes before the county building permit, and the packet is filed in person or by mail: the application with a 9-1-1 address, a survey and legal description, a site evaluation by a professional engineer or licensed site evaluator, a scaled design by a registered sanitarian or engineer under TCEQ 30 TAC Chapter 285, and — for an aerobic system — a maintenance contract and an affidavit recorded in the county deed records. Two county reviewers check every application; once it's approved and the fee is paid, the county issues the Authorization to Construct, and the system's critical parts stay uncovered until the county's final approval. The county also requires every installer to be licensed by TCEQ and registered with Environmental Health before it accepts an application. We assemble the packet, file it, and see it through to approval.

Soil & site conditions in Brazoria County
Brazoria County is coastal prairie and river bottomland, and its soil survey reads like it: Lake Charles, Pledger, Bernard, Edna, and Brazoria clays cover much of the rural land, with Surfside clay toward the coast — heavy clays with very high shrink-swell that let water through very slowly, and many of them flood or stay wet near the surface. USDA rates nearly all of them "very limited" for a conventional septic drainfield, and the county's permits show it: of the 655 septic systems Brazoria County authorized in 2025, 636 were spray or drip systems, according to TCEQ's annual report. Expect an aerobic unit with spray or drip dispersal here; the on-site soil evaluation confirms the design for your tract.
What a new septic system costs in Brazoria County
Our installed prices are flat by system type and cover the system and its installation. The soil evaluation (perc test), the engineered design, and the county permit are not included — we can handle them for you and quote them separately. The soil evaluation also decides which of the three systems your lot needs.
| System type | Installed price |
|---|---|
| Conventional gravity | $8,000 |
| Aerobic (ATU) + spray | $11,950 |
| Aerobic (ATU) + drip | $13,950 |
Brazoria County's published single-family OSSF permit fee is $250, and it isn't included in the prices above. County fees change, so the current amount is confirmed when the permit is filed.
Cities & towns we serve in Brazoria County
We checked each community the same way as our town pages: spots within 3 miles of the town center, run through the USDA soil survey and FEMA's flood maps. A map sample isn't your lot; the soil borings on your property decide the system.

|---|---|---|---|
| Alvin | Lake Charles, Bernard | 22 of 22 spots | 9 of 22 spots |

| West Columbia | Pledger, Bernard | 18 of 21 spots | 12 of 21 spots on land |

Brazoria County septic questions
Do I need a permit for a septic system in Brazoria County?
Yes. A new on-site sewage facility (OSSF) requires a county permit plus a soil/site evaluation before installation. We handle the full permitting process for you, start to finish.
How much does a septic system cost in Brazoria County?
It depends on your soil type, system type, and drainfield size. Use our instant estimator for a ballpark, then we confirm the exact price after a free on-site evaluation.
Do you install septic systems for manufactured and mobile homes?
Yes — manufactured and mobile homes on rural Brazoria County land are what we install most. We size and permit the right system for your home and lot.
Who issues septic permits in Brazoria County, and what does the permit cost?
The Brazoria County Environmental Health Department in Angleton, (979) 864-1600, permits septic systems in unincorporated Brazoria County. Its published fee schedule lists the residential OSSF permit at $250 (commercial $450), and the permit expires in one year if the system isn't installed. The fee is paid to the county and quoted separately from our installed price. Manvel, Brookside Village, and Surfside Beach have their own programs; inside other city limits we check with the city first.
What goes into a Brazoria County septic application?
The county wants the application with a 9-1-1 address, a survey and legal description, a site evaluation from a professional engineer or licensed site evaluator, and a scaled design by a registered sanitarian or engineer that shows the whole tract. Aerobic systems add a maintenance contract and an affidavit recorded in the deed records before construction is authorized. The septic permit has to come before the county building permit, and the county won't permit a system after the fact. We put the packet together and file it.
Why do most Brazoria County homes get a spray or drip system?
The soils. Lake Charles, Pledger, Bernard, Edna, and Brazoria clays are heavy, slow, and often wet or flood-prone, and USDA rates nearly all of them very limited for a conventional drainfield. TCEQ's 2025 report shows it: 636 of the 655 septic systems Brazoria County authorized that year were spray or drip. Your soil evaluation decides the design for your tract.
Can I install my own septic system in Brazoria County?
No. Texas generally lets the owner of a single-family home install the system on their own property, but Brazoria County's septic order bars property-owner installations unless the owner is a licensed installer registered with the county. The county also requires every installer to be TCEQ-licensed and registered with Environmental Health before it accepts an application.
Who maintains an aerobic system in Brazoria County?
Every new aerobic system starts with a two-year maintenance contract, and the county requires an affidavit about it recorded in the deed records before construction is authorized. After that, the county's order lets a homeowner maintain their own aerobic system only after completing a TCEQ-approved basic maintenance course, or with a wastewater operator license plus the manufacturer's certification; otherwise a maintenance provider does it. A malfunction has to be repaired within 10 days of the county's notice.
Can you install a septic system for a manufactured or mobile home in Brazoria County?
Yes. A manufactured home on acreage around Rosharon, Damon, or Sweeny needs its own permitted on-site system, and the county process is the same as for a site-built house. Placing more than one mobile home on a tract adds a step: the county asks for mobile-home-park approval or family-use affidavits. We sort that out before we file.
Does a 10-acre tract still need a permit in Brazoria County?
The county keeps the state's exemption for one single-family home on a single tract of 10 acres or more, with every part of the system at least 100 feet inside the property lines. The work itself still has to be done by a licensed installer registered with the county, and the system still has to meet the state rules. Smaller tracts always need the permit.
